Getting Curious with Gigi Williams

We’d like to welcome Gigi Williams to the Curious Health team as our new Account Executive!

Gigi’s academic journey (which includes an undergraduate degree in politics and French and a master’s in literature) has given her a profound appreciation for the power of language and storytelling, which she has seamlessly integrated into her work. Starting as an intern at Curious Health for three months, Gigi impressed us all and we knew that she had to become a permanent hire! Her ability to leverage her humanities background has provided us with a fresh perspective, and she has consistently contributed to impactful projects for our clients.

Outside the office, Gigi is equally dedicated to making a positive impact. She has participated in the London to Paris bike ride for Myeloma UK, where she connected with those affected by the disease, strengthening her passion for advocacy. Her roles as welfare officer and chair of the feminist society during her university years further broadened her understanding of social issues and deepened her commitment to creating positive change both personally and professionally.

Getting curious with Gigi

Why did you want to join Curious Health?

I loved the ethos of always staying curious and wanting to do better. I think these ideas really shine through in so much of the work that’s done at Curious and I wanted to be a part of it!

What did you want to be when you grew up?

A gymnast

What was the last song you listened to?

Sowing the seeds of Love by Tears for Fears

What do you do when you’re not working?

When I’m not working, I love to read, ideally in a coffee shop or at least with a coffee in hand. I’ve also recently got into running now the weathers warmer (the London running craze got to me). And on most Friday nights you’ll find me at the pub or an extremely overpriced bar in East London.

Do you have a go-to karaoke song?

Before he Cheats by Carrie Underwood

Tell us an embarrassing moment

I once sent a slow-motion video of me diving into a pool to my entire uni year group chat.

What’s something you saw recently that made you laugh?

My sister, she is the funniest person ever.

What’s something you’ve done, but you’ll never do again?

Caving. I honestly don’t know how people enjoy it.

What’s your favourite TV show?

At the moment it’s The Bear, however all-time favourites have to be Inside Number 9 or Black Mirror (I can never choose between the two).

What are you passionate about?

So many things! I could write something witty about making sure my Letterboxd film reviews are really funny, but I think I’ll say something more profound about the power of words. Having studied Politics and French, currently studying English Literature and now working in a communications agency my whole life is filled with words and phrases. I think being able to talk to people and use words in such a way that can really affect change is so powerful and is at the core of what being a good communicator is about. So essentially, I’m just passionate about reading books and talking to people.
