Getting Curious with Jaquie Pantoja

We are very proud to introduce Jaquie Pantoja as our newest member of the Curious Health team.

She has been a passionate digital marketing professional for the last eleven years, working in the digital industry in both Mexico and the UK.

Prior to joining Curious Health, Jaquie led the Digital Department at Bluestone360, a creative agency based in the Southwest of England, taking on roles as Social Media Strategist and Digital Account Manager, she has worked with a variety of clients from Insurance Companies to FMCG, and B2B companies.

She has been responsible for shaping countless social media strategies, as well as creating exciting and interesting content for a number of national and international clients across different social platforms

One of her campaigns that she is most fond of was featured on the Forbes website and in the international event ‘Oracle Open World’ that took place in San Francisco, USA in 2016. Covering the user generated content strategies she implemented with her team and the outstanding organic results from the campaign.  https://bit.ly/2Jsft8q

Jaquie said: “The best thing about data-driven digital marketing is the wealth of information you can analyse to truly understand your audiences, what resonates with them, what can provoke responses and ultimately what can bring them value. Nothing beats a purpose led campaign where you really know what your audience needs from you.”

Getting Curious with Jaquie…

Why did you want to join Curious Health?

Growth comes from change, and after 8 years in my previous job I knew it was time for me to shake things up, however, getting out of your comfort zone is never an easy decision but after speaking to Catherine and Lottie and listening to their vision for Curious Health, the culture they want to build and their experience and their contagious drive, I couldn’t help to feel like I wanted to be part of it too.

A big part of their ethos is to always be ‘curious’ and always ask questions especially if they lead you to know ‘how to make things better’ and that resonated so much with me, and the way I approach any projects I am involved with. Even at my job interview I bombarded them with a list of questions which I don’t think they were expecting. One of the best job interviews I had.

What did you want to be when you grew up?

It was more like where I wanted to be when I grew up than what I wanted to be really, since I was a little girl, I always dreamt of living in England, I was fascinated by its history, the beautiful scenery, the culture, the accent, I mean you guys have real life Queens and Kings and wild ponies in Dartmoor! What’s not to love! (apart of course from the weather). So here I am, after following my heart, I left sunny Mexico for my enchanting England.

What was the last song you listened to?

‘Run’ by Snow Patrol. Beautiful song.

What do you do when you’re not working?

Spending time with my little one, she is only 4 years old and already teaching me so much about the real meaning of life, nothing beats listening to her stories whilst we are having a cuddle on the sofa watching a Disney movie.

I also enjoy meditating and listening to Joe Rogan’s podcasts – he really knows how to ask the difficult questions, loved his Elon Musk’s interview.

Do you have a go-to karaoke song?

I will survive! A classic!

Tell us an embarrassing moment

Singing Karaoke haha

What’s something you saw recently that made you laugh?

My 4year old daughter telling me a joke she learned at school – I couldn’t really understand what it was about but she found it hilarious, she was laughing so much that her laugh made me laugh for no reason hehe.

Love her to bits!

What’s something you’ve done, but you’ll never do again?

Late night shopping – really bad idea, especially when you don’t even remember what you bought until it’s been delivered. Guilty of charge!

What’s your favourite TV show?

I have always loved a good story, so I am really into Game of thrones and House of the Dragons.

I do, however, have other gems in my list like The Tudors, Breaking Bad and The Crown!

What are you passionate about?

What I am really passionate about is self-development and self-improvement. I’m always looking to learn new things. That’s one reason why I really enjoy working in Digital Marketing an ever-changing industry where you are constantly learning new things and learning new ways to be more strategic with your approaches not only with a data driven approach but with a great understanding of consumers behaviour.

This constant learning has allowed me to develop problem-solving skills that not only help me in my day-to-day work but also have an impact on the projects I am involved with personally.

Having the ability to have a positive impact is my drive, so being part of a startup means being part of the creation and growth of a new company. Knowing that I can contribute directly to the success of Curious health is a very exciting journey to explore for me.

So watch this space and look out for our Curious journey together.
